Bee happy…

Jake Beecroft, one for the future, has signed a 3-year contract, tieing his future to the club until 2011. The midfielder has, to date, made 9 first team appearences: 4 in league games, and 5 in County Cup matches. Jake has shown the true importance of the under-thread youth-system here at NP, by exemplifying an “ideal case”. Since joining he worked himself through the ranks, progressing to reserves and then to the full-squad.

He will be following Andy Burgess amongst others in his promotion from the youth.

Below: fans’ reactions

He quite impressed me in his games last season. Could (and maybe should!) have got himself a goal against Aldershot.

Another good sign – and credit to the youth scheme. We aren’t just going out and getting players in.

Well done Jake, very well deserved! He certainly didn’t look out of place in the pre-season friendly against Halstead. Well done to Paul Driver and his team as well.

Just proves having the right attitude and professionalism as a youngster goes a long way. I know Jake has spent hours in the gym building himself up, some may remember the slight young lad that joined the club a few years ago. He can certainly handle himself in that central midfield role now.
