Ebbsfleet preview

Rushden travel to Kent tomorrow to face an Ebbsfleet side much improved since their last meeting with the Diamonds.

Ebbsfleet spent the first portion of the season in the lower-midtable position. However, as of late they have improved greatly and, with two games in hand and just 9 points off the play-off spots, they will have every incentive for winning on Tuesday.
Rushden have also enjoyed a resurgence of late, and now have one of the best recent-form records in the division (P8 W4 D2 L2; a better record than Torquay Utd.) Coming on the back of four straight victories, they will be full of confidence ahead of their trip to Stonebridge Road. However, in Rushden’s last 5 games against tomorrow’s opponents, they have yet to record a victory.

The big talking point behind Ebbsfleet’s season so far, however, is their succesful takeover by internet venture My Football Club. 28,000 fans across the globe now have a stake in the club and, as soon as the deal is officially finalised, will be able to vote on many aspects of the club (eg. team positions, ticket prices etc.)
